“Jenga Jumps”
photo Note: This game is a ‘hopper-style’ random draw. While students love the suspense of “Jenga,” teachers can incorporate any randomization, like a deck of cards, to determine movements. Cut 2×4″ blocks to 10″ each. Stack in “jenga-style,” 3 in one direction, and 3 on top in another, until it reaches 15 rows tall. Each child draws one block, and performs the exercise written on it. Number of reps is equal to the total number of blocks drawn (first draw is 1, second is two, third is three reps, etc.) Incorporate addition, skip counting, and memory challenges as you like.
