When you are finished, add up your reps as quickly as possible.

Focus:

Trace a figure 8 pattern, 10 times with each hand.

WOD:

Pull-ups

Squats

When 12 minutes is up, stop and add up your total number of reps as quickly as possible. Then, multiple by 4. What is your answer? Post time and answer to comments.

Answer the following questions:

How many jumping jacks did you do in total?

How many total reps did you do?

How many total mountain climbers did you do?

Focus:

Trace an ‘x’ 10 times per hand.

WOD:

2:00 AMRAP
Strict pull-ups
3:00 AMRAP
Hand-release push-ups

Then, as quickly as possible, answer the following questions about probability:

What is the probability of choosing a Queen from a standard deck of playing cards?

What is the probability of choosing a blue marble from a jar containing 5 red, 6 green, and 4 blue marbles?

What is the probability of choosing a marble that is not green in the problem above?

What is the probability of choosing a queen or king from a standard deck of 52 playing cards?

What is the probability of landing on an even number after spinning a spinner with 8 equal sectors, numbered 1 through 8?

What is the probability of getting a 4 after rolling a single die numbered 1 to 6?

Ignite Worldwide Challenge

On December 15, Ignite will host a worldwide throwdown for all ages.

What: three events, each combining a CrossFit-style workout with a cognitive challenge.

Who: age groups 3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12+, and Adult

Any CrossFit gym or school can participate, even if you’re new to the Ignite program!

Each challenge will focus on a different type of cognition. Any of the three events could include one or more of:

  • Math
  • Reading
  • Memory
  • Attention
  • Focus

CrossFit portions of the challenges will be scaleable for all ages and abilities.

Participating gyms and schools will have from 6am PT (9am EST) until 5pm PT (8pm PST) to complete the challenges.

Fee is $10 per participating gym (each may have unlimited athletes.) REGISTER ONLINE HERE

Upon registration, the host will receive an information package containing standards of movement, a brief outline of the challenges, a scoresheet, and instructions for submitting scores.

Bear crawl => basic dot drill x 10 => 50-meter high-knee skip => 50-meter back pedal => vault

Focus:

10 figure 8’s with your right hand

10 figure 8’s with your left hand

WOD:

10minute amrap:

1-arm dumbell snatch

1-arm dumbell overhead squat

1-arm dumbell push press

Alternate arms through complex, for a total of 10 complexes, followed by:

200m row

then…

Complete as many long division questions as possible in 3 minutes:

Answers are provided. Only check your answers after 3 minutes is up.

Daily Challenge: Skip Counting

Warm up:

3 rounds:

Bear crawl => 2 forward rolls => 3 strict pull-ups => 10 squats => 10 push-ups

then…

Using an agility ladder, do a basic pattern (in and out), counting by 2’s each time. Do one round using even numbers, one round using odd numbers.

Focus:

Ten figure 8 patterns with each hand.

WOD:

As many rounds as possible in 12 minutes:

10 thrusters

15 kettlebell swings

One pass through agility ladder: on the first round – count by 2’s, second round- by 3’s, third round – by 4’s, fourth round – by 5’s… and so on.

You must move the entire stack, in order, into another circle. Rules:

You may only move one plate at a time;
You may not set a heavier plate on top of a lighter plate.
